River Downs is the home of a one mile oval dirt track which, after the final turn, has a 1,117 foot stretch to the finish line. River Downs also has a turf track which is seven furlongs in length. The track’s width is 80 foot.
The live racing season at River Downs Racecourse runs from April 11th to September 1st. Live racing, when in season is shown every day of the week, apart from on Wednesdays and the post time is 12.55pm.
Simulcast Racing, however, is shown seven days a week all year round. Admission to the ground is free as is parking. The maximum capacity of the track exceeds 9,000, with the grandstand holding 8,500 and the clubhouse holding 850.

Valet parking available. Preferred parking $2.00 (simulcasting), $3.00 (live). $3.00 box seats with personal television monitor in lower Clubhouse. Seating in Turf Terrace (upper clubhouse) $3.00 per seat with personal television monitor or $5.00 table minimum.
