Bay Meadows is a horse racing track in San Mateo, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area in the United States.
Bay Meadows has a one mile (1.6 km) dirt oval and a seven furlong turf oval. The track has a total seating capacity of 12,000 and has stabling for 900 horses on site.
The Racecourse is the longest continually operating thoroughbred racetrack in California, having been founded in 1934. The innovative William P. Kyne introduced pari-mutuel wagering, the popular Daily Double, the first all-enclosed starting gate, the totalizator board and the photo-finish camera at Bay Meadows.
Main Track
One mile oval with 1-¼ mile and 6 furlong chutes. Length of stretch, 990 feet. Width in stretch, 85 feet; backstretch 75 feet.
Longden Turf Course
Opened Sept. 4 1978. Oval measures 7 furlongs, 32 feet (4,625 feet). Maximum width, 75 feet, minimum width, 50 feet with moveable rail.

1. Head North on US-101 toward San Francisco
2. Take the CA-92 ramp to Hayward/San Mateo Br/Half Moon Bay - go 0.2 miles
