Assiniboia Downs is a Canadian horse race track opened in June of 1958 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The main track is a six and one half furlong oval. Assiniboia Downs is your action place every day for Las Vegas style big-screen betting, 140 VLTs, lunch and dinner specials and live racing from May through September. We’re located where Portage Avenue West intersects the Perimeter Hwy. Operated by the non-profit Manitoba Jockey Club.

Assiniboia Downs is located at 3975 Portage Avenue, approximately a 15-20 minute drive from downtown Winnipeg. We are located northwest of the intersection of the West Perimeter Highway 101 and Portage Avenue West just beyond the West Perimeter overpass. To get to Assiniboia Downs drive west on Portage Avenue to the first traffic light past the Perimter Highway overpass. Turn right at that intersection on to Racetrack Road proceed north past the Point West Auto Park and proceed to the racetrack main parking lot and entrance to the Assiniboia Downs.
