Freehold Raceway has a long Harness season, running from August 9th right through to June 9th. The track is relatively short at just 4 furlongs and has a final stretch of just 480 feet and the track can have just eight horses running on it at any one time.
Admission to the course is free of charge, both day and night, and simulcast racing is broadcast at the track throughout the year.
Admission into the Freehold Raceway is Free all day.
From Northern New Jersey - - Take either the New Jersey Turnpike or the Garden State Parkway South and follow directions listed below.
New Jersey Turnpike / Garden State Parkway - - On the New Jersey Turnpike take Exit 11 and get on the Garden State Parkway South to Exit 123. Follow signs to get on Route 9 South. Stay on Route 9 South for 15 miles, past Freehold car dealerships. Stay in the right-hand lane. At the intersection of Routes 9 & 33, turn right after the light on Business Route 33 East (jughandle) and cross Route 9; the track will be on your right.
From Philadelpha Area - - Take the New Jersey Turnpike North to Exit 8. Bear right at toll booth and take Route 33 East. Follow ten miles until fork in road and bear right on Business Route 33 East. Follow two miles, crossing Route 9 and track will be on right hand side after Barnes & Noble Bookstore.
From Southeast New Jersey Area- - Take the Garden State Parkway North to Exit 100B to Route 33 West. Follow Route 33 West right to the racetrack, which will be on your left.
