At Cal Expo, there is live harness racing shown all year round. Live racing is shown Thursday through Saturday and also on Mondays, when admission is free.
The track opened in 1973 and has an oval dirt track 990 foot stretch after the final turn with a width of 80 feet. The record attendance at the ground is 40,000 and parking is free of charge at the ground and the post time is usually 5.35pm.
