With live racing run throughout the year, five days a week Wheeling Downs is an extremely popular venue. There are matinee shows on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday at 1.00 pm and also on Friday and Saturday at 12.30pm. Evening post times only occur on Friday and Saturday evenings and they are held at 7.30pm.
There is also simulcast racing broadcast throughout the day every day of the week, with the track opening at 10.30am for such purposes.

From I-70 East, take Exit 225. Turn left at the end of the exit ramp. At the first light, turn right. At the next light go straight. Cross bridge onto Wheeling Island. At the second light after the bridge, turn right onto South York St. Follow South York straight to Wheeling Island.
From I-70 Westbound
After passing through Wheeling Tunnel in left lane, use Exit 0, Wheeling Island.
